The Oculus apologists are trying to sell the idea that telling everyone for a long time glasses wearers would have an included facial interface is excused apparently by quietly removing it from the description a few hours before starting to take orders. So, why the complaints 4-eyes? This, of course, ignores the fact that all current bundles still promise that.

My question is that Rifts have been in production many months. Since manufacturing is a pretty nailed down, in-advance, to the sub-millimeter, process even months before manufacture starts, how can even a charitable interpretation argue anything excusing this? Where/when can pre-order people buy the accessory they need to use their $600 paperweight? I have astigmatism precluding contacts, BTW.

Oculus knew many months before preorders started, much less today when they are still making false promises, that they would not provide something many customers would need to use the device. Yet it is the customer's fault for believing the item seller and we should just cancel if we don't like it? I really disagree that this is an entitled reddit freakout.

What about all those people who don't spend time here, only to get their package to find they can't use it. And, apparently, it is their own entitled fault.

Congrats on the bank OP!

If by some planetary alignment I should happen to win, I would really like this Oculus rift/ pc combo; https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01BHFI4XG/ref=pd_aw_fbt_147_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=9PA0EW3Q15434SB0N73G. Priced at just shy of 1900, it may not be the best thing out there, but I reckon for $1829.99, it doesn't get a whole lot better.

Would get this bundle: https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-ASUS-G11CD-WS51-Desktop-Bundle/dp/B01BHFI4XG

But chances are not good. Thank you.

Yes, pre-ordered the Rift+PC bundle on Amazon less than 10 minutes ago. Thanks for the reminder.

Amazon.com lets you ship to Canada but after shipping and taxes it comes to $2,598 CAD for the cheapest bundle w/ the Oculus rift.

If you want to save money you might be better off going to a reputable computer shop with a printout of the rift recommended specs and seeing if they will build one for you.

There are also some incompatible USB 3.0 ports out there so adding this verified working USB 3.0 card to your computer might save you some head aches in the future.

I get so less results as a consumer to buy a pre configured PC if i type in OCULUS Ready PC or Oculus Ready VR PC .

IS this one a PC

you would say it plays all and everything including H265 Video in 4K VR smooth minimum 60 to 120 Frames second ?
