After looking through the list some more, here's some oddities.

The MSI Stealth you posted is a 1060. The Y740 is the same price for the 2060 version, and comes with Gsync. And it overclocks well.

The Alienware 17 R5 you posted is outdone by the refurb 17 R3-5 on the Dell outlet site. With the 15% off coupon, it gets down to evne lower. Hell, there was a 1070 OC laptop on there for a grand.

The Dell G7 15 doesn't have the 10 series option anymore. They're 1650, 1660Ti, 2060 and up. They're an oddly poorer value than the Legion laptops, though you don't have to wait near as long.

That M15 is a good buy for the 2070 MQ version, but the M15 with the 2060 is better on the Dell site. Plus, for $50 more, you get a 240hz screen. That said, I'd say the m15 is tied with the Zephyrus on best splurge, but that's just me.

There's also the Powerspec laptops at Microcenter for best value. The top part is metal, the cooling is fantastic, it has a full 2070, Gsync, ect for $1499 and $1599. And it has a good keyboard. The only issue is the bottom part being plastic. The equivalent PC (which are clevos) are quite a bit more.

Actually, one last one. That HP Omen...is just bad. You literally get better specs for the same price here: https://www.amazon.com/HP-15-Inch-i7-8750H-Processor-15-dc1030nr/dp/B07NDYBX4G/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_3?keywords=HP+Omen+2060&qid=1556725219&s=electronics&sr=1-3-fkmrnull with the 2060.

This imo would be a better deal

Edit: Except it’s back ordered lol. You’ll need to wait 1-2 months

Edit: Deal expired. Was ~$1,200. Now its >$1,300.

I believe this checks all the boxes for you, and you’ll save some money. Something else I’ve always been intrigued by are the Sager builds I see on Amazon. You can get an RTX 2070 build for 1,500, but I’m not sure what the build quality is like. Worth looking into.

If I were you I'd consider this:

ASUS TUF (2019) Gaming Laptop, 15.6” 120Hz Full HD IPS-Type, AMD Ryzen 7 3750H, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 16GB DDR4, 256GB PCIe SSD + 1TB HDD, Gigabit WiFi 5, Windows 10 Home, TUF505DU-EB74 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QQB6DC1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_kxhYCbZMSD8Y3

Very good pricing for a laptop with a cars that's almost as good or equivalent to the GTX 1070 for $1100 and with the 1660 coming out there's no reason to buy the 1070 because of the price difference

Or if you can spend a little extra:

Omen by HP 2019 15-Inch Gaming Laptop, Intel i7-8750H Processor, NVIDIA RTX 2060 6 GB, 16 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD, VR Ready, Windows 10 Home (15-dc1030nr, Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NDYBX4G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XyhYCb086VCH9

The new 20 series cards draw less heat because of the new architecture not needing as much power. However the Omen does tend to hit the 100 degree Celsius mark. If you want something like the Omen with better cooling but unfortunate price increase look at the LEGION Y740. It's almost $1600 I believe

This is a good rendering laptop. It has a 6 core CPU that beats most other CPUs like the 8300h. And it has a 2060 and 16 gb of RAM. An SSD and an HDD. It's a good price and good when looking at price to performance. It's cheaper than other gaming laptops because it has a 60hz screen--and you don't need more than 60hz for what you're doing

If you could go a little over $1300, this Eluktronics MECH-17 G1R would be an excellent pick, not just for its performance power, but for its display quality and its good heat management ( something many gaming laptops struggle with). If you definitely can't go above that budget this 2019 HP OMEN is decent as well, but I prefer the Eluktronics above.

Hi, the Acer Predator Helios 300 2019 model is definitely a good option. But, an alternative could be the HP OMEN 15, which comes with an RTX 2060 graphics card instead.

(I'm at $1479 with an upgrade to 144 Hz display, a 2060 (from 1660 Ti, but 1660 Ti is as fast without Ray Tracing), 9750H and 2TB HDD. Do custom build)

All of the above have much better build quality and are literally half the price.

$1720 with a 1060 vs $1250 - $1500 with a GPU 50% faster. I mean this is a no brainer.

Edit, the HP Omen actually has a 2070 unit for $1500 in the same amazon listing above. I mean, if anyone buys a $1720 15" Razer with a 1060 over an HP Omen with a GPU 2x as fast, the same display, basically the same CPU for less I would have to say youre straight up a retard.

That's most of Razer's consumer-base though.
