My suggestion was to dump the home phone. You are spending $80 between the two. I would get internet and then purchase something like this

You would have an upfront cost of $50 - $100, but you would save about $10-$20 a month.
Ooma with a UPS battery backup would suffice. The Ooma is a one time investment, and the battery backup should power the fiber box (router), the Ooma, you phone, and maybe the fiber jack (if they haven't implemented POE by the time you get it).
The investment would be about 175 to 200, but wouldn't require any further payments, except read the fine print of the Ooom, I believe there is some Emergency Service fee that is required yearly ($10?).
If you go with a VoIP service like Ooma, it'd be cheaper to get internet through Google and then drop all services with TWC. For Ooma you buy the equipment and then you only pay applicable taxes per month after that. No monthly service charge. http://ooma.com/. Look into an ooma. I have one and have had one for over a year. Drop to a double play and use ooma for home phone I pay $3.74 a month for my home phone. Has caller I'd but only gives the number not name. If you want the name you can sign up for a premiere service that's a good deal for what you get but I don't recall all the details i only needed basic service.

Have you try Ooma? I bought one like 3 or 4 years ago. Never had a problem with it. Only pay $5 monthly. Voice quality is perfect.

For that, you may need to buy a separate phone modem. I believe it depends on which VOIP service you have. If you have comcast, I don't know if they let you use any old voice modem. I use a service called voip.ms, and they let you bring your own device. I have this one, and it works fine for under $30.
If you are going to be at a place where you are hooking up new phone service, you might want to consider other solutions which I hear are extremely easy to set up, and very cheap (basically free plus taxes) such as [Ooma free telephone service]
