I don't know if they used it for this event, but I did see some track cameras - basically, it's a camera on a rail that can move horizontally. Like this with a camera on it and longer.

I am excited about using it. seems nice and smooth, I have the drills and taps I need to put the tripod mount holes in it myself, if you dont want to do that you could get

Its a little shorter, but cheaper and more ready out of the box.
Im planning on doing a fairly thorough review with some test footage in it soon, I will post a link when I do
