Check out the deals on Amazon for Optimum Nutrition Protein. The taste is miles above the sand in those Wal Mart tubs and the cost per serving is lower. It requires that you spend more upfront but it is cheaper in the long run (if you have prime, otherwise I'm not sure what the shipping costs are).

With some peanut butter or banana, this may as well be dessert.

Either way, keep up the pump brah!

I'm looking to build lean body mass and reduce fat. I've used this particular product primarily: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DYJ02U/ I've also tried the vanilla and cookies and cream flavors and did not like them, but opinions vary. Recipe is 2 scoops in 6 oz. skim milk every day.

Its role is a calorie-efficient protein (i.e., it supplies a bare minimum of calories for the protein it contains), at a reasonable price. Other examples that fill this role are eggs or egg whites (each have tradeoffs) and cottage cheese. I use it along with these others to provide variety in my diet.

The only reason I don't eat more of it is after one shake per day I don't find another one appetizing, I know people who have no problem with additional shakes each day.

Protein powders aren't the magical muscle-building products they're marketed as: they simply fill a role in your diet. You can get the same results with a properly proportioned diet including other protein sources.

Also note that there are recipes that incorporate protein powders; they can transform pointless snacks into a flavorful dietary supplement.
