Set up motion detecting sprinklers. Something like this

(Most) cats hate water. He/She will quickly be trained to avoid going in your yard, and it will be much cheaper than any lawyer situation will ever be.

I have one of those motion detecting sprinklers. Get one (they have some cheaper ones but I went full on fuck you mode and wanted the best). Hook it up to your hose, plant it in a rather inconspicuous spot where folks love to take leaks, set the range and pressure to MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE and hopefully you have surveillance set up so we can all reap the rewards of the awesome video feed you will have.

You can get a motion activated sprinkler that shoots a very intense stream of water; they are used to scare away deer, but it might be a good lawn tantrum deterrent.

• Sprinkler with sensor, if the best path is one that you and your pets don't ordinarily use.

You've got to build it right to keep them out of it. Deep sharp sides with lots of cover. I have a optimistic great blue heron that visits daily. He's not getting much. The Kingfishers get some of the babies.

Part of the problem is that coyotes are not getting consistent negative enforcement in the moment. Is your husband hazing them when he gets followed? I mean super soaker with vinegar level hazing not just yelling? The only reason not to do that is if they're denning and therefore "escorting him out of the neighborhood" rather stalking. That can be hard to tell. Make sure he isn't turning his back on them either way. That's "ceding territory."

The light sensor on ours was rubbish so I added a cheap timer from Walmart. Works like a champ now.

I had Raccoon problems at my place too! They destroyed my yard by pulling back the grass and putting holes in the grass looking for grub!

fwiw.. I went through a few of them before trying the Yard Enforcer, which has worked well through 3 seasons now.

1- try a motion activated sprinkler (Orbit 62100 Yard Enforcer Motion Activated Sprinkler https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009F1R0GC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DONjybAF7630J)
2- block the path he takes
3- if you catch him read handed and on camera you and your bae go teach him a lesson- go defend your property.
4- get enough evidence on video and submit a case to local health department, maybe he is crazy and needs to be committed.

The police do not have time for nuisances. We don't pay them enough nor have enough police to fix stuff like this. Not their fault.

Start with a military grade double fence (PDF link). Then between those fences install motion detection. On the inner fence (or both), install an alarm system (link) that detects tampering, such as cutting or climbing.

Then yeah, lots of cameras on poles with wifi/solar and a massive NVR somewhere.

Maybe some motion activated sprinklers (link) to keep the critters out.

To be fair, there are standalone products designed for this but the integration is definitely cool.

They're used for all sorts of pests. If the action doesn't startle them, I bet they don't like getting wet.

I wish they were better quality but I shouldn't complain as this plus a motion sensing sound/light machine means I hardly need a fence at all in an area where other gardeners need serious 6ft+ fencing. It deters everything: dogs, cats, deer, rabbits, squirrels (though I'm sure the smart ones could eventually figure it out).

I can't feed them because they'd always come around and they'd eat me out of house and home. They're like cats in my neighborhood.

The plus side is it goes off for about 5 seconds whenever a car goes by and my seed gets a little spritzer.

The show "My Cat from Hell" on Animal Planet has a cat behaviorist who would tell you that your indoor cat and feeding outdoor cat situation is the problem. Milo's territory is your house. That's his damn territory but your inviting other cats to hang around and that is not a sustainable situation.

The solution is to stop feeding the outdoor cats and get one of these. Milo will change his behavior and be safe.

Can you post video examples of what you're talking about? Perhaps via private message if you don't want to share publicly? It's really hard to offer solutions without more context of what tools he is using against your cameras and the angles in which he is interfering with them. I assume he is using a heavily colmenated source of IR light and shining it directly at your cameras, perhaps a simple hood or visor on the cameras that blocks light from all other angles that you're NOT interested in. This will narrow your useful field of view but you can make up for it by adding more cameras with the same hood so you get all the views necessary to protect your property. Also, not sure if this is helpful but you can get one of these to hide in the bushes in case he decides to walk onto your property to damange anything. I used this to protect my garden from rabbits but there have been plenty of times I forgot it on and got hosed myself. It's a good deterrent. Move it frequently to keep him on his toes if he comes back.

This will last all day and all night!

If you lift up the surrounding areas do you find grubs? How many per square ft? Grubex works great, but you are late... really late. Grubex is a preventative, not a curative product you are going to have to go with something like Merit. If your only sign of grub problems are holes, treating the yard might not resolve it as the creature doing the digging might be after something else entirely.

My brother in law lives on a lake and had the same problem. Shooting them is fun, but a loosing game. They have more geese than you have ammo. Also mostly illegal. We tried all of the sprays. We tried all of the decoys and sparkly things to make it look like it's occupied. They don't want pets so a dog or cat was out. (But is a good option if they stay in the yard)

We finally found something like this to be effective. It took 4 or 5 properly configured in the yard to do the trick. And you need to rig it so it doesn't attack you. If you already have to water your lawn, it's not costing you much.

But keep them low and high pressure helps.
