From my experience it isn't so much good for sleep "quality" (though it's never had any negative effect on sleep for me either) as it is a virtually guaranteed way to experience vivid, and eventually lucid dreams. I've read that it also aids digestion, but I've never really noticed any effects on that front.

If you're curious to try it, I'd recommend starting with Buddha's Mugwort Tea. It has a pleasant taste, whereas bulk mugwort (while more cost-effective) tastes pretty unpleasant. I usually brew loose mugwort with damiana and chamomile, which helps offset the taste a bit and is an all-around good combo for a bedtime tea.

NOTE: Pregnant women should never touch mugwort. I'm not privy to the specifics, but every time I've read about Mugwort, it says this in bold/caps.

I bought it here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DLLE1NM. It works and the price isn't bad for the weight of mugwort ($2.30 an ounce) and it worked for me but I plan to buy from somewhere else next time

I bought it in packets. This is the stuff. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DLLE1NM/ref=ya_st_dp_summary

It cost a bit more, but I was just looking for a test sample, and they are actually pretty nice. I'll probably get the stuff that cost $3.00 next time and do it myself. If you have tea bags, just fill them up about half way, grounded. You can also smoke it. I tried smoking through a bong because the smoke was harsh, and I'm not really sure if it did anything besides give somewhat of a head high. But it might be different for everyone.
