Can anyone comment on the price and quality of the Chippewa cordovan service boots that are also included in this sale? Really liking the look of them.
Here's two reviews that literally tears apart the LL Bean boots to the Red Wing Iron Rangers so you can see the inside components. You'll note that the Red Wings use a cork filler so as you wear them they will mold to your feet shape better and provide a more comfortable fit over time, whilst the Katahdins are synthetic foam.
That said, I have a pair of Chippewa service boots for over a year now and they're still pretty comfortable. They're more expensive than the regular $100+ Chippewas, but I do feel the leather on these is are just as good as Red Wings'.
I know you're looking for the 1000 Miles but these boots by Chippewa are very similar and on sale for cyber Monday.
