This has nothing related to the aforementioned topic but if you have scratched your OPO, using a glass screen protector can sometimes hide the scratch and will smooth it out.

I did. Very pleased with the move. The extra battery life is a huge plus for me. Size is a little daunting at first but you get used to it. After using it for a couple weeks, the Nexus 5 seems tiny in comparison.

EDIT: I would suggest the ORLY tempered glass protector on Amazon. Fits really good on the phone and can barely tell its on. Sometimes I forget I even have a protector on it.

I'm using the tempered glass protector from Orzly and it has a good oleophobic coating, seems much better than the screen on its own. Clarity is excellent and I've noticed no more glare than was present on the screen itself. I'd highly recommend it.

Get the Orzly

Definitely worth it. I actually prefer the feel of it over the stock screen.

The clear case from Oneplus does not really protect the top or the bottom of the phone. It just protects the back and the side and it's slippery as hell.

I would go a diztronic case

There is no cases out right now that will keep the sandstone look unless you get a clear case but it'll still make it look washed out. You can get an aluminum bumper case but it cases reception issues.

There are a lot of recommendations on the /r/oneplus forum (and newer ones than mine probably) but I use an Orzly tempered glass screen protector and a Tudia Melody TPU bumper case. I had bought a Diztronic TPU case at the recommendation of the aforementioned subreddit but I just found it cheap-feeling and ugly so I replaced it. But lots of other people like it so give it a shot.

I would say that there are some pretty good cases on amazon. I currently am running a Tudia Cygen case and an Orzly tempered glass screen protector. The case is durable and thin and the screen protector is really smooth and feels good. I recommend getting both.

Edit - oh, and while you're at it, get yourself a good quality case for the mobile as well - I am using the Red TPU Case, but they recently put out an Ultra version, which has slightly beefed up corners for added protection ..

For me, only if it's high quality and glass. I suggest shelling out $15 for the Orzly one. I literally forgot mine was there, until I dropped my phone on concrete. I felt that awful pit in my stomach, especially knowing that I would have a very hard time replacing it. Sure enough, I turn over my phone and it is completely shattered. Then, one of shards of glass fall off, leaving pristine glass below it. Confused, i peeled off the screen protector, which had so valiantly protected my OPO's screen.

TLDR: Orzly saves lives.

Grab an Orzly glass screen protector from Amazon. For $15 it fits great, is easy to install, and you can't even tell it's there.

I got this glass one. This is my first "high-end" device so I figured $15 (+$10 case) isn't something I'd skimp on. The plastic ones have always felt cheap to the touch for me and offer less impact protection. When the glass shield breaks it (hopefully) dissapates and absorbs some/all the impact force.

The Tudia looks nice, but I hear that its design is shoddy.

I use the Diztronic case. It doesn't look very exciting, but its durable and has a good fit. The Bugdroid is made of the same material and should hold up pretty well.

I personally don't use screen protectors. Gorilla Glass makes them pretty unneccesary, in my experience. If you want one, Orzly tempered glass protectors are considered the best.

Yeah, I've had my phone since late January. I've gone through 2 now. I don't have a case, usually these things crack in the corner and I get rid of them.

I've decided to go without for now.

I put one of these and one of these and so far I'm pretty happy. I dropped an 80lb dumbbell on mine and it only caused a small crack in the phone's glass (not the glass protector). It was so small I didn't notice it till hours later, I could of sworn the phone was going to be destroyed.

It sticks out ever so slightly. Hard to notice. I have a bumper on my phone too, so I can't actually notice it...

But my phone is uber protected with low cost and almost no inconvenience. Still looks great and low profile. If I sell mine, I can sell it as 'like new' which I did with my Nexus 5 - same protection.

For me, this phone is perfect. I cracked my screen tho and I dont believe this phone really uses gorilla glass. If you get the OPO get the Tempered Glass and good case.

Battery life is simply amazing and it charges super fast.

Get a glass screen protector and you won't even know he difference. Screens can scratch easily on the smallest of things (like sand). It depends on which protector you get, but most people seem to like the Orzly

Lets start off with cases. Below is a link to an article about the top 10 OnePlus One cases. You may also want to look into the tempered glass protection options. Some people claim the tempered glass is amazing, while others believe it won't protect your screen. A lot of factors play into whether your screen will crack when dropped, so sometimes you get lucky and other times you don't.

I've never used a matte screen protector on a phone so I can't comment on it. I'd be wary of how much it might degrade image quality.

Also, it's just a plain PET plastic screen protector. You can get a 3 pack of them on Amazon for the same price in glossy, matte, or UV coated.

I can't speak for the delivery time due to having Amazon Prime (next day delivery) but the case itself is pretty nice. Fabric on the outside while having the inner layer being made of a soft fleece. The case was far too tight to comfortably use, needing two hands to squeeze the phone into and out of the case. It seems to be loosening up after the few days iv had it so it appears to be getting better.

Recommendation: Haven't decided

Quality protector, feels nice and doesn't appear to diminish the screen or touch of the device. However, it does not fit perfectly. It appears to be cut slightly smaller that the screen of the Oneplus. The left edge will fit perfectly but the right will have a small gap. Its not noticeable unless you look closely but again, its not perfect.

Recommendation: Yes
