We used the oxo and Simba formula containers to hold dry formula. I did not care for the dr Browns formula container. It was too hard to make sure all the formula got out.

I was not worried about air bubbles that much. Any bubbles rise to the top and baby drinks from the bottom.

We weigh the formula because we use hypoallergenic and it’s about $40 a can. Then we didn’t have to make 2oz if 1oz was enough.

I think logistically this is easiest, especially if you're on your own. You may need to help your baby adjust to formula first - some will take it right away and others won't. I would also suggest finding a way to get baby to adjust to cool or lukewarm formula since that's likely to be what you're getting. When travelling I've had luck warming up a bottle of cool water in a cup/mug about 1/2 full of hot water, which they have on hand for tea.

I would actaully go for powdered rather than pre-mixed. It's lighter to carry and you can find it more easily. Something like Gerber Goodstart is available pretty broadly. And then on the plane and in the car you can use a dispenserto pour out pre-mixed portions.
