Pack your food ahead of time!

Look up bento lunches. (Not the fancy ones, just the tasty ones. http://justbento.com and http://lunchinabox.net/ are good inspiration.)

You don't need a fancy lunch box, either, you just need something that will hold enough food. This is smaller than you think. I suggest getting something like this, which will never leak and will go through the dishwasher with no problem.

Get a small cooler or insulated lunch bag to put your tupperware or bento box in. I have this one, and it works well.

Put a ziploc of almonds and dried cranberries (or something else that doesn't spoil) somewhere where you can get it easily.

If possible, put an 'emergency lunch' such as ramen or instant oatmeal somewhere you can get it on a day you forget to pack. It might not be as healthy as a packed lunch, but it will be a controlled amount of calories and it will cut down on last-second decisions made while hungry, which usually end in disaster.

I use one of these: https://www.amazon.com/PackIt-Freezable-Lunch-Bag-Polka/dp/B004SZNJME?th=1&psc=1

It really does keeps your lunch cold for hours (there are cold packs sewn into the lining of the bag). You freeze it the night before and then just grab and go!
They have lots of cute designs, too.
