it's not available right now, but they cost about $12 when they are. if you drink cappuccino every morning, this is the BEST machine for the price. very easy to clean. i love mine! i leave it on the stove for about 10 minutes on low (electric stove here) and it works like a percolator.

eneloop rechargeable batteries. mine were made by sanyo, and now panasonic makes them. no idea if there's a difference, but i bought them in bulk (20aa, 8aaa, some d spacers) a few years ago and they are still going strong. most rechargeables are awful! these are pretty good ones. i use them for my camera, fans, mini speaker, mp3 player. i have the usb charger, which i love, but i don't see it available. i prefer that because i can hook it up to my computer or a solar panel.

i love this little speaker! originally i used it for a cosplay a few years ago and now i use it for my mp3 player and as speakers for my laptop. i like the aa battery option, because i can just pop charged aa eneloop batteries in instead of dealing with a built in rechargeable battery. they're not as loud as a ghetto blaster and wouldnt work well in a car with the windows down, but for inside a studio apartment, it works.

I should also mention, if you are looking for rechargeables instead, NiMh batteries are much less likely to leak than alkalines. I have had great luck with eneloop brand NiMh rechargeables

And I just keep 4 extra of AA and AAA than I need for everything in the house so I can always swap out, and then plug-in the charger when its full of dead batteries. Super simple, and I'm never waiting on a charge.

The BLF A6 is still a good flashlight, especially for the price. IMO it's still hard to beat that bang for your buck. The next step up in bang for your buck is the Emisar D4. IMO, those two are pretty solid depending on your price point. You can pay hundreds of dollars for a single flashlight, but either of those are going to be an EXTREME upgrade if you are used to AA and AAA battery flashlights, and are very, very hard to beat in their price ranges. Those two can match a lot of lights that cost hundreds of dollars honestly

There are several styles. The main ones are

Headlamp - You wear them with a head band. Quite useful for camping, speulunking etc

Thrower - Throw light long distance, for when you want to light up a hillside a few hundred yards away

Flood - Spread light in a wide area at close range, for when you want to light up an entire room.

IMO, Flood are the more useful, but throw lights have their uses

A few things to note,

• Decent flashlights get hot. Like, REALLY hot. The BLF A6 doesn't get that hot, but if you use it for a while the tip will get hot enough to be uncomfortable to touch. I've about set my pants on fire with it before when it got turned on by accident in my pocket. The D4 actually WOULD set your pants on fire, or burn you, so be careful
  
• "Real" Flashlights take larger batteries. Most use 18650, the same as Vapes use. They are about 5-15 dollars a piece depending on nice of one you get. They are rechargable and last years though, so you really just need 1-3 per flashlight. Most flash lights will last several hours on one battery, which translates to . . .quite a lot of actual time since you don't typically use a flashlight for hours at a time
  
• You'll need a charger. They can charge AA and AAA too, so it's wise to buy some good old fashioned Eneloops just for quality of life, to use around the house since you already have a charger. Those aren't related to the flashlight or anything, they are just a very nice QoL upgrade you can make to your house in general, since they last 5-10 years and are essentially as good as disposable batteries, and you can just use them over and over. The corner / wall method is your best option for minimal equipment. White walls are best, grey walls would work too. You will need a single flash or strobe with a cheap light stand / umbrella, and ideally a tripod / tethered laptop to make sure shots are consistent and ensure exposure looks good. Normally you would need a trigger for the flash, but you can use your pop-up flash as an optical trigger without affecting the exposure (covered in the video I linked below).

Just get your settings right with test shots, shoot raw, shoot full manual with an aperture of 5.6 or 8, ISO 100, 1/200 of a second. Your flash through umbrella will probably be at 1/4 or 1/8 power. The closer the light source is to the subject, the softer the light will be. Check your histogram to make sure you aren't blowing out any highlights. Tell people to wear basic, neutral clothes for the shoot, ideally not white, and have them all bring one alternate outfit just in case.

There is a lot that goes into it, but just watch some YouTube videos (Tony Chelsea, Gavin Hoey on Adorama), practice a bit with yourself, friends, family, and you'll be good to go.

Edit: As far as lenses go, use the 50mm 1.8. It's the sharpest lens in your kit. Don't use it wide open, shoot at f5.6 or higher, and make sure your subject is about 5-6 feet from the wall behind them.

If you don't have any already, buy some Eneloops. They won't corrode up your lights. Also, look into the ThruNite T10. I would recommend the neutral white option.

Plus one for either eneloop or amazon basics, haven't had any issues with my eneloops going on 3+ years and recently picked up the amazon's and no issues so far (knocking furiously on wood.)

Definitely go with rechargeable batteries. Have a few sets on hand and just swap them out between classes, should be fine. I personally use Eneloop batteries, they've always worked well for me.

Virtually uninterrupted gaming with 2 2000mAh cells under the hood & plenty more on hand for when they need swapped out.

Picked up a couple of battery holders to keep them tidy & in sets of 4 for charging purposes, as well.

I got a nice charger because I have a lot of flashlights that use 18650 batteries

i would go with rechargeable batteries any time as you can Exchange a single one of them if it should die. You can use them for pretty much everything else in your home like remote controls, clocks and so on.

My batteries last round about 30 hours with one Charge. i get 8 batteries for like 16€ or 21$ and can recharge them like 2000+ times. So i think it is a better cost effect than going for a recharge kit.

Get some good AA rechargeables, like the Amazon Basics white batteries or Eneloops and a charger. Keep one set charged while using the other set, and then swapping out is quick and simple.

Some rechargeable batteries are junk. Try some eneloops. There are other quality brands. But this branded started first with quality recheargables. They hold a charge a long time and are sold precharged.

The problem with not recharging batteries is they're seldom recycled and contain toxic metals that leak into groundwater under landfills. I do keep an unopened package of alkaline batteries just as backups until I can recharge the rechargeable kind in a pinch. But I try not to use them unless really needed. Then drop them off at an electronics store for them to turn over to a proper recycler.

The amount of energy to charge a battery is much less than the energy to produce a non-rechargeable battery. So charge away with a clear conscience.

Panasonic Eneloop are what you want. They make AA and AAA and sell spacers for C and D sizes.

I have two wired controllers but between pets and kids tripping over them I don't use them. They work great on my PC though. I usually keep one of my wireless controllers with fresh batteries nearby so I can grab it real quick and turn it on. But now I always check the charge before hand. I've been using eneloop rechargeables for my controllers but it seems like they're getting weaker and not maintaining their charge for very long.

I've had much better luck with these than I have with the Microsoft rechargeable batteries. At least with the 360 I haven't looked into if they've improved with the XBone or not. I would just buy a cheaper micro USB cable elsewhere.
