I got mine off of amazon.

I'd say Pebble 2 SE for price ($70) and great battery life. It's their latest one besides their Pebble 2 + HR monitor ($90)

Their servers are still running as far as I know, (not sure, maybe I'm wrong) their Pebble App store still works fine. There's just no future updates to the app, no customer support, and no more warranties or replacements etc.

Things I love about the Pebble:

Thank you for the reply. I'm thinking that I'd use it mainly as a remote control for music, since I typically keep my phone in my pocket, I thought that it would be nice to not have to stop jogging or w/e to dig out my phone to skip a track, or pause if I need to speak to someone. The fact that you can check texts and set alarms on it is just a HUGE bonus that I think I'd use somewhat regularly.

Yeah the price point is what really attracted me, the e-ink display I think makes sense for a smartwatch, since it is always on, and doesn't require a backlight the whole time.

I'll have to look into the Pebble 2 (is this a decent one?). I think I've narrowed it down to Pebble Time and Pebble 2 series, and now it's just the cosmetics that have me hesitant to pull the trigger. How does the Pebble Time look/feel? I kind of got the impression that it felt kind of cheap and plasticy, which was a bit of a turn off for me. Kind of like those old calculator watches from 30 years ago.

Is there any specific advantage to the color display? I kind of though that there might be more that you could do with it, but when I think about it, all I really need is text to read, which doesn't need to be in color.

Is what you're describing the Pebble 2 + Heartrate monitor?

I use a smartwatch called pebble. I really like it. It tracks my sleep very accurately, and tracks my pulse pretty well too.

Pebble is a now out of business company that was acquired by fitbit about a year ago. So if you buy the pebble with the heart rate monitor, you'll be getting the same tech as a fitbit basically. It also has about a week of battery life and takes about an hour, maybe two, to charge fully. On top of all that, because it's out of business now, the "Pebble 2 +HR" (the only one with a heart rate monitor) only runs for about $79 USD.

That being said, there are a few drawbacks. Because the company is out of business, there's no warranty program. Another drawback with the price is the screen. It's pretty good, but it's no apple watch. It's an "e-paper" display, but it works great for me and saves battery. Another drawback is there isn't as many apps as the apple watch or fitbit, and it isn't touchscreen.

All in all, I love my pebble. The user interface, although not touchscreen, is super great. It tracks my sleep super well, tracks my heart rate well, and functions as a normal smartwatch. It works perfectly for me. It's also extremely customizable. I would watch some reviews I'd you're considering buying it, just to be sure, but I can't recommend this watch more.

The Pebble 2 Heart Rate was my daily watch for about 6 months. I haven’t worn it in about a year, but it still keeps great charge. It needs a charge every six to seven days. There are a few small scratches in the screen, but not super visible. The watch is overall in very good shape, but the band is somewhat worn out. Includes original box and charger as well.

The Timex Expedition Digital was a watch I used to wear every once in a while when I was younger. There are only a few tiny scratches on the glass, but other than that the watch is basically brand new.

The black leather band is a used 18mm strap from cheap nato straps. Pretty good condition, but definitely used and has a crease where I wore it the most.

The brown suede strap is also a used 18mm strap from cheap nato straps. I never really wore this strap so it’s in pretty good condition

The grey two piece nylon strap is a brand new, never worn 18mm strap from cheap nato straps. I have never worn this strap so there are no imperfections or signs of wear.
