I've been using this Peugeot for about 5 years with 0 issues. My father told me to buy one after he'd had his for over 20 years. It's not fancy, but when frown when I have to use anything else. Don't get me started on those plastic grinders that you buy at the grocery store.

I have arthritis in my hands pretty badly and in my thumb pad joint. I have a Peugeot that I have had for about 20 years and Love it!

I have this style. (paid a lot more for it those years ago)

Maybe a style like this one would better suit you?

How often are you using very large quantities of pepper? If it's a few times a week it might be looking into an electric one, but personally I don't often need more than a tablespoon.

I have this mill which has served me beautifully for the last three years and still looks brand new. It puts out a pretty solid amount of pepper per-twist. Unless I need dust-level pepper, it's always been pretty fast. I've just never had much luck with electric mills - there always seems to be something missing. Either the grind setting barely works, the noise level is super high, or the speed is slower than grinding manually.

For someone with arthritis I can see the appeal, but if your hands and wrists are healthy, I'd go with a manual mill.

The Peugeot ones have a lifetime warranty on the milling mechanism, although only 5 years on the rest. I have one and I like it a lot. Nice smooth action, lots of pepper.

edit: posted this and then scrolled down and saw all the Peuguot posts.
