To everyone in this thread linking the White Ambiance: it's not the same as the white bulb. White Ambiance lets you adjust color temperature. White is only dimmable. Hue White is one thing and a bulb has always been $15. Hue White Ambiance is another thing and has always been $30.

They may have just stopped selling single white bulbs, because you can still get a two pack and a four pack, both with bulbs for $15 each.

I have this same issue. (because smartthings said it was compatible without a hub). I have slowly been collecting more hue bulbs every black friday (and sometimes on prime day). Currently for a four pack on amazon, it is about $50.

I finally just replaced my lightstrip which wont even reconnect anymore with the hue one on prime day. That was a waste of money (for the OSRAM).

I entered to amazon thru US VPN and its shows same things.

How didn't you found?

  1. Hub + 4 bulbs for $85.
  2. Hub + 2 bulbs ($50) and 4 bulbs ($42) = Hub + 6 bulbs for $92
  3. Hub + 2 bulbs ($50) and Dimmer Switch + 1 bulb ($30) = Hub + 3 bulbs + Switch for $80 (this is what here costs $100)

I have 2 favorite items on my list is the Philips Hue Bulbs & the Lutron Smart Switch. These items has no sentimental value, but I would like to turn my home into a smart house since I'm into tech. It's not romantic, but he might like it if he's into tech also.

Did you happen to get this version? Because I’m having a similar issue.

I'll poke around for some apps (feel free to recommend some)
Will also ask Phillips if it will be possible in a future firmware update.

Being a night person is not the worst thing ever. All throughout college I was a night person (up till 5-6am and waking up at 1-2pm). Now I have made the transition to waking up at 4am almost everyday including weekends. If you are really dedicated to making the switch to mornings. My best advice would be to set multiple alarms (no joke like 5-6 different ones) to go off every couple of minutes, start picking up good habits in the morning(meditation/exercise/reading), and finding something to get you excited to wake up).

Another useful tool I have found is Wake-Up feature from the Hue lighting system. Waking up with the lights on already seems to be the key. But they are pricey.
