Alright, I'm getting everything in order for when I leave for basic next month.

On the annex kit list it says I will need a backpack. Can I use my sportsbag/dufflebag? (one with a strap and handle). I'll be using this to hold all my items while traveling.

For seasonal jacket, what qualifies? Rain jacket? For casual dress shoes I'm assuming sports shoes are ok.

Regarding the "other articles" portion:

Do you need to bring a razor with blades? Can you purchase this at the Canex? Would I be able to bring one of these? I haven't shaved without a electric razor in a while I'm assuming you can't bring one of those.
"Soap dish and toothbrush case (white)" where would I be able to purchase this?

In the wiki it says to bring your own Iron. Now that I'm looking at all the items were required to bring I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to fit all of this into my sportsbag/dufflebag. Should I be looking to purchase a bigger sports-bag so i'm able to bring all the required items?

Is there anything not on the list that you guys would recommend bringing? I asked my recruiting officer this and he said to bring a laptop so I don't get bored on the weekends. He also told me to bring snacks.

Also, will I be able to bring my fitbit (fitbit blaze) It's more like a smartwatch with a touch face and is water resistant. Will I be able to charge it for use daily?

Sorry for the long post I'm just trying to be prepared and not look like an idiot.

You look SO young without it!! (but totally cute). I'd keep it! It looks really good on you and TBH my beard didn't really start filling out until I was almost 30 lol. I picked up one of these too: Philips one blade. It made upkeep/trimming SO much easier..

p.s. Is there a sub for posters to show beard vs no beard? If not it needs to be made ASAP.

Holy moly, are you (and /u/PastelWard and /u/dylandblue ) talking about about this thing? It's only $35 Canadian. I'm guessing you aren't referring to the face + body one?

I did have two quick questions for you guys:

  1. How long did a blade last? The replacement heads say 3 blades last up to 12 moths, does that sound right?

  2. Did you guys have a shaving cream + after shave you would recommend especially for someone on a skincare routine? Will any sensitive shaving cream/after shave combo work?

    Thanks!
