OK, sorry about the delay, my computer is not put together right now... It is halfway through getting a hard-line water tubing job done...
So, as far as tools, just get this it may not be the best, and odds are the 24pin tool will break, but truth be told, I prefer to use flattened paper clips for that anyway. What you really need is the molex tool, and fan tool.
For sleeving, that is a personal preference. I personally use 550 Paracord, because it comes in so many colors, but the plastic ones are WAY nicer to work with (or so I hear). I'd go with the plastic (MDPX? MNPX? Something like that... Check sidebar) if I were you.
Last but not least, the heatshrink. Heatshrink is heatshrink is heatshrink, so really, just choose a color scheme, decide what you think will look good, and go on amazon to buy it PRE-CUT. I can not stress PRE-CUT enough, because they come perfectly straight, perfectly sized, which adds a lot to the aesthetic, that having "mostly straight" heatshrink takes away.
