It does have one main flaw, which is the at least on my camera, it has a small amount of rotational slack with the M4/3 side of the mount, so if you're doing a focus pull it'll introduce a small vibration at the beginning of the pull. There might be other focal reducers that don't exhibit this problem though so I'd probably shop around a little more if you're going to do focus pulls mid-shot.
I'm using a cheap Pixco focal reducer on my OG BMPCC, don't know if it will cover the sensor of the 4k but it is a different design (not a square glass) for the price it might be worth a try. The quality is comparable to the Lensturbo II that I have for my A6300.

Generally it creates a soft, moody image and falls short of the modern primes as far as sharpness goes but if you are looking for a more cinematic look and decent low light performance I suggest trying it. At -$100 for the reducer and around $50 for a 50mm 1.8 fd lens you can't beat it.
