I use D'Addario Two-Way humidipaks, which you can find on Amazon or at Guitar Center. If you go to Guitar Center, make sure they price match Amazon because otherwise they charge double.
They're great because they keep the guitar/case between 40-50% humidity at all times. So if you're in Florida, you probably have to worry about it being too humid, so these will soak some of it up. I live in Las Vegas, so it's the exact opposite lol.
They're great because you don't have to worry about using water and dripping it on the wood inside the guitar. You just set them and forget them. I replace every 2 months or so, which is pretty good for living in a desert!

The biggest danger to wood is rapid change. Let's say where you live is humid in the summer, and drys out a lot in the winter. But that doesn't happen suddenly, it drys out over a period of weeks/months, and likewise in the spring the humidity comes back gradually. You're probably just fine without any humidity treatment at all, though, we want our guitars to last forever so we get humidifiers.
But now imagine now it's the dead of winter, very dry, but no worries... you have your humidifier on! Then your wife decides to vacuum and unplugs it. The room's humidity level is now dropping double digits in a matter of hours. Or maybe she moves a guitar case into another room. You know, it's usually her fault right?

They're cheap enough, why not? I keep one in the compartment under the neck in the case usually. It's kind of like putting extra seat belts on your kid... I somehow survived childhood unrestrained in the back of my fathers pickup truck, but now my kid's strapped in by more harnesses than an F1 driver. Does he need any of that? Fuck if I know... give me a second, I think some duct tape will help this situation.

Something that frequently occurs to buffet clarinets (in my experience) is that not only is the cork making contact with the wood, the wood of the upper joint is making contact with the wood of the barrel, which can cause the connection to be extremely tight, and require wobbling in order to remove. This can be fixed by removing wood from either the top joint or the barrel, but this should only be done by someone who knows what they're doing.
Definitely can rust your strings. Sponge humidifiers kinda suck, really easy to add too much moisture. You can get beads used for cigars that will release moisture and also absorb at a set humidity like 50%.

They will eventually dry out in 4-6 months in a closed case, but you can put them with a sponge and they will rehydrate.
