Plastic embroidery canvas makes great for material for mesh windows.

Don't use a terrarium... They're not made to withstand being filled with water, especially for an extended time. Just get a 5 or 10 gallon aquarium.

If you're worried about him jumping, you can put some of this over the gap between the tank edge and your tank's light hood.

This may not be super helpful, but try ordering some online maybe?

Sadly I don't. I got so caught up in rescaping and being mad at myself that I forgot to take pics. It's really nothing too glamorous. I used java moss and this mesh.

A lot of people buy plastic grid sheets (eg. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DEGKMO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and then cut ladders out of them. It's relatively easy to do with clippers, and if you want greater thickness you can just glue a few together.

IT's a nice (and fairly cheap/quick) way to get ladders of the perfect size.

I modified the intake on my Spec V and covered the intake with plastic canvas. You can find it in multiple colors in any craft store. I used black so it would blend in. I bought a single sheet from Michael's for like 70 cents. You can just cut it down to whatever size you need.
