I know, and for a tree small enough that it probably wouldn't hurt you if it fell on you, this will likely work. I'm just that guy who looks for things that will kill you out there; kind of a hobby of mine.

BTW, I have two Pocket Chainsaws and while they do work reasonably well, I wouldn't recommend it for anything over than 4" unless you have energy to burn. Also, the wetter the wood, the harder it is to use.

It's the kind of thing I might use to make a multiple-day shelter or to help gather a good pile of 2-3" sticks for firewood. It's a lot safer/easier to use this than to try and snap the wood.
