Assuming this is 120 Volt and not 240 Volt, you need a 14/3 or 12/3 OUTDOOR rated extension cord (12 or 14 AWG, 3 conductor). If it needs to have GFCI inline (because the outlet isn't GFCI protected), this would be a good buy:

Also, does your outlet have a wet-location (aka all-weather) cover, if not, you should swap out the cover on the outlet.
