I use feeler gauge stock. It is a great material and the cost is great considering how many you can make from one 12" piece. It comes in almost any thickness and is easy to work with. It also holds up well. Here is the size I buy most often (0.021) but I also buy 0.017 sometimes. All you need is some material and a file, although I prefer using a dremel for the heavy work and then use a file to 'fine tune it'.

yup 13 plus shipping, I just added it to a order I had already planned on making when Ken announced he was gonna start selling it, glad I did since he sold out of .015 the day after he listed it. I normally make my picks from this and simply sand it thinner as needed, but starting .015 is less work for me so its worth it at twice the price.
