>I certainly did not do that. Most of the people I have met who will say "I am not a feminist" do happen to hold ugly misogynistic views, but I certainly did not actively accuse you of holding those views - which was why I asked at the end if you could explain further.

You...just did exactly what you are saying he is "falsely" accusing you of doing. You are basically saying that he is a misogynist for not being a feminist unless he argues with you about it, and you deem him an acceptable human being. Do you see how narcissistic that is? Its like saying that all non-Christians are Satanists unless they prove otherwise.

You don't have to be a feminist to believe in women's rights. Feminism as an ideology involves a lot of concepts many people might disagree with, the idea that we live in a "Patriarchy" and so does the entire world is one of them. Patriarchy implies patrilineal decent, where the sons inherit from the fathers and the wife takes the husband's name. This was true in the past but is no longer true. Who inherits a will is the choice of the writer of the will, male or female.

Feminists believe that gender is 100% a social construct and is a part of the patriarchy, and it therefore must be destroyed. There are patriarchal societies with relaxed gender roles, and there matriarchal societies with a very strict gender binary and gender roles. There have also been studies showing that gender identity (although maybe not gender roles) is innate, and is not a choice or socially constructed. Because feminists believe gender identity is a social construct, fake, not real and must be abolished, and because they have a problem telling the difference between gender roles and gender identity, they have a tendency to be very transphobic.

Feminists like to take credit for the domestic violence movement, but it was actually Erin Prizzy, a current Men's Rights Activist and family care activist, who opened the very first domestic violence shelter for battered wives. She wrote a book called Prone to Violence, in which she discussed the fact that many women involve themselves in traumatic relationships due to low-self esteem and a violent childhood. She also claimed that men, too, could be victims of domestic violence, often for similar reasons. As a result, she was viciously picketed by radical feminists (to the point where they would picket her women's refuges and block the entrance) and eventually one of them shot her dog. Feminists of the time did not want to accept that men weren't attacking these battered wives out of nowhere, and that some of these women were actively seeking out violent relationships. It went against the narrative, and so did the concept of male victims.

When anyone, especially a domestic violence worker, talks about female abusers feminists railroad them. Feminists do claim to care about the problems of men and trans people, but in reality, they have a habit of railroading, doxxing, and shouting over victims of female aggression. Some radical feminist groups will attack trans people just for being trans, not for engaging in any type of activism, because the existence of trans people means that gender is not 100% socialized or socially constructed. Feminists have tried to block intersex activism, and have ignored intersex women when they asked to be included in laws which prohibit female genital mutilation.

Most people who believe in gender equality, but not feminism, believe this way because of all the shitty things feminists have done. I used to be a feminist, but I'm trans and I only sleep with men. Therefore, I am a traitor and a shitlord. Why would I tolerate such abuse?

>And this comment is already downvoted negative? Jesus people, that's a little bit sad.

Its not sad. I'm glad you were being downvoted so strongly for calling someone a misogynist and demanding he prove that he's not. You are being incredibly obtuse.
