Custom controllers are a thing, and they give you an advantage. Everybody seems to draw the line with mouse and keyboard, though.

Also this thing
Hori, most famous for making arcade sticks, has an official license from Sony to build the Tactical Assault Commander 4 to work with PS4 and PS3

I know this is a joke but there IS hardware out to let you use a dual shock on an Xbox and vice versa.

a KB&M can be used on console with something like the Hori Tactical Commander 4
Hori makes top end fightsticks, but i have not used this product.

However, I would swap out the Hori mouse for a logitech g300s

Honestly, it's like saying "hey that guy got me, he must be hacking or lagging using a mouse, because I'm so great, who could possibly beat me?" People throw around the accusation in the higher levels of console overwatch I see it like almost every game someone in my party is saying mouse and kb.

There are many different peripherals that enhance and give an advantage. Examples are a Scuf controller, kontrol freak things, better monitor, faster internet, higher resolution, fighting stick, racing wheels.

Also nothing will happen to these people and trust me there are not that many people ACTUALLY using these things they are $150+ plus mouse and keyboard. Also they do nothing that a controller could not do. I know a few of them myself and they are mostly in the 50s ranks. If you are bad at the game with a controller you are bad at the game with a mouse and keyboard.

Lastly sony even has an official adapter you can buy here and it looks kinda of cool but once again super pricey which bars most of the console pop from even considering it as most people dont know you can do it but as people continue to accuse people of it because they get beat it will become a widespread thing they have been around since COD days.

Right "kiddo". The car analogy admittedly isn't a very good one to begin with, because no matter what car you drive, you still need to pay tax and insurance, whereas with PC you're saving money by not paying "tax". But let's break your points down, shall we?

>[Consoles], not as fast, not as pretty, but they are ridiculously reliable and you really don't have to worry about having to upgrade it constantly.

  1. I'm sure you remember the wide-spread issues of Xbox 360 red ring of death, and the yellow light of death for PS3. Sure, the current generation may be more reliable, but they're not impervious to breaking down. Difference is on a PC you can actually fix issues yourself and maintain the system, if your console breaks you have to ship it off to the manufacturer and probably pay a fee to get it fixed.

  2. You don't have to upgrade your PC "constantly" just like consoles don't need to have their internals upgraded constantly. However with a PC you have a choice. Don't upgrade and simply reduce the settings of games as they come out, sacrificing visual fidelity for FPS for not buying a new GPU, or you can upgrade if you want to. With a console, you don't have that choice, as newer, better looking games come out, developers are going to have to reduce the resolution the game runs at, turn down graphical features, or force you to play at 30 FPS just so it can run on your already obsolete hardware.

    >And you don't have to worry about going up against those who mod (i.e. hack) their [Consoles] to get an advantage against the other [Consoles].

Just because cheating isn't as prevalent on consoles doesn't mean it's impossible. There are a multitude of ways players can have an edge over their opponents on consoles via third-party modifications. For instance, playing a first person shooter with a controller is considered a handicap, because analogue stick control isn't as accurate as a mouse. However, using PS4 as an example, you can buy a keyboard/mouse example, which would give you an edge over players using a controller. There are also communities dedicated to hacking the PS3 and PS4, for example.

    >a) that guy is getting upvoted because he has a valid point

Not really. R6 is an extreme example of cheating at the moment, and is not indicative of all other first person shooter games on PC. Just because R6 has a cheating problem on PC does not mean all first person shooter games on PC have a cheating problem, certainly not enough to warrant playing all first person shooter games on a console, especially since first person shooter games are best played with a keyboard and mouse. Binary input > Analogue input with the first person shooter genre.

    >b) you're coming off like a douchebag about it.

    Welcome to Reddit. kiddo

    >Despite any real or imagined deficiencies on the console, it is currently the better option for the game right now.

When it comes to avoiding cheaters, yes I agree. When it comes to everything else, no.

    >You want it stupidly pretty to look at? Well, unfortunately, you're going to have cheaters come with it.

Kind of missing the point here. The type of game it is is much better played on a PC. I would list why, but hey, that's just my opinion.

    >You want a good gameplay experience? Well, I can tell you Ubisoft, Activision and other major distributors probably care less about hacks and cheats than selling RB6 Points and COD credits.

And they're not going to be selling those things if everyone leaves their game due to cheaters. That also means no eSports interest, which is also a money pile they want to dip in to.

    >You have two options, and dismissing and disparaging one is not really going to help your cause, kiddo.

Oof, you were doing so well until you sunk down to my "level". "Kiddo", really? Great way to make yourself come across as a douchebag, which makes it a bit hypocritical that you call me out of acting like one.

    >Just cause it isn't your thing doesn't mean you have to be a dick about it, you might actually give it a try before getting triggered and damning the option, alright?

Truth is truth. It doesn't really matter if I come across as a dick at this stage, because there's an anti-anti-console circlejerk going around the sub at the moment, and anyone pointing out anything "bad" about consoles gets downvoted regardless of what they're actually saying. The original commenter is dumb if they decided to play all FPS games on console because of their experience with cheaters in 1 first person shooter game on PC. Sure, I could have said that it's dumb in a nicer way, but I'm more the kind of person who tells it like it is instead of tip-toeing around people's feelings.

It's baffling how many people agree with them, despite how stupid their argument is. Hence I'm inclined to believe it's nothing but the console-peasant circlejerk brigade upvoting anything that implies console > PC.
