I have pretty bad pain at the base of my thumbs--the CMC joint. My hand specialist (orthopedic surgeon) said the pain is from joint laxity. It moves too much. I'm still not used to the brace, but it's apparently very well liked by others.

I got professionally fitted by my OT for my right and left, but could only afford 1 at the time. I’d highly recommend you size yourself before buying.
