I have been meal prepping consistently for over ten years and I was ready to transition over to glass containers. I find the plastic ones wear out quickly and I don’t like microwaving my food in plastic. From experience, I know that the 2 cup storage containers are the perfect size for my lunches. I ordered five different containers and was looking for how they handled when filled and in the freezer, but also how they stack up—literally—when not in use.

Overall thoughts:
My favorite were the Anchor Hocking ones. I really love those grippy lids. But my second favorite were the cheapest option: pyrex bottoms with plastic lids.
Final note: the Anchor Hocking and Pyrex bottoms are exactly the same. So the lids can be used interchangeably.
Tupperware stains too easily, and its also plastic and most people are just rejecting plastic in the microwave completely.
Go get Pyrex's glass lids series like http://www.amazon.com/Pyrex-Storage-Container-6-Piece-Containers/dp/B008MW2BAU
I have several, best containers I've ever had. Don't confuse these with the very similar ones with plastic see through lids. Pyrex makes both, and I don't know why.
You want the pyrex ones, but not with the plastic lids. There is a set with silicone and glass lids. They are indestructible and plastic free. Here.
I found some with silicone lids: http://www.amazon.com/Pyrex-Storage-Container-6-Piece-Containers/dp/B008MW2BAU
Silicone is okay, isn't it?
