This is a pretty good humidor for only around $40 with shipping.
As far as Cutters i'd suggest staying away from the cheap ones (you'll be constantly replacing them), and picking up a nice Xikar, I'm partial to the Xikar V-Cut
As for cigars, I'd suggest checking out some of the samplers on sites like Smallbatchcigars.com, cheaphumidors.com, cigar.com, cigarsinternational.com and even cigarbid.com, It may seem a bit daunting at first, but many sites will have a flavor profile and strength indication for the cigar, as well as a blurb about what to expect and customer reviews. One thing to be mindful of is over-inflated prices on the Ghurka line, you'll see sites advertising them as 90% off MSRP! but still like $60 a box, most people here will be more than happy to share their hate for Gurkha with you, and to be honest there are only a handful of good cigars from them imo.
I also bought a glass top bc I like the looks, I did quite a bit of research before purchasing. Found one that came with a sealer "technology". I really like it, I don't have any issues at all holding steady numbers no matter how full or empty it is. Purchased on Amazon for about $75, for anyone interested:
