Notes:

  1. Strategy games are generally CPU intensive, especially Ashes of Singularity and Total War series. If you are not into very high/ultra settings, you can get 1060 6GB and save some cash.

  2. 8700 and 1060: no bottleneck.

  3. If you are not in need of the Hard disk, considering Total War Warhammer 2 requires 50-60GB, you can save those 3K. :D

  4. Just get the ISO from Microsoft, and get the key for cheaper. Still if you want a DVD, ou will need an optical drive. But that's just wasting your money. Get the key, and be done with it :)And the built-in Anti-Virus is quite good enough. It's been a long time since I installed Bitdefender.

  5. I think you should try for IPS panel monitor. You don't benefit from more than 60 Frames in strategy games, even at competitive level. 30FPS is fine for CIV games. 40-60 are fine for other strategy games.

  6. Whenever building a PC, don't invest too much on keyboard. And when it comes to Strategy and FPS games, you need a good mouse more than you will need a keyboard. Get a good keyboard with Anti-ghosting. And I selected the keyboard solely on the basis of Amazon reviews.

At the 1k Price point, all backlit keyboards are going to be more or less the same. Buy whichever one that has the best support/warranty. The RedGear one's are pretty decent and comes with an aluminium body as opposed to the plastic competition

Very basic Q. Tried hunting through this subreddits wiki and the one at /r/keyboard but didn't find much.

Got a new mechanical-like, Redgear Blaze which is a cheap but well reviewed keyboard in India.

Have been trying to get used to it but somehow everytime i type on it, it doesn't feel good at all. I think I'm used to low-travel laptop keyboards from 6 years of using exclusively those.

Are there any low-travel, faster keyboards available? I read something about Cherry Silver and Cherry ML keyboards but not entirely sure if they're going to give that low-travel experience.
