I finally ordered my first Red Wing Iron Ranger in Charcoal!
These will be my most expensive boot to add to my collection but I know they are well worth it. I already have dark brown, light brown, and burgundy boots and now I’ll have a dark grey!
From seeing photos and reviews of the patina, I’m excited to see how these boots evolve with age.
Interesting, I wouldn't have guessed that. Maybe I'll try out the pair I have in snow next time.
I wonder if I could get the itshide commando sole with a non-lugged heal to address the heal wear concern that Madrun described (doesn't address the flexibility concern though). Kind of like what Red Wing does with the Iron Ranger - pic at link below.
