Thanks for the post. I'm going to grab it to compare it to some other more expensive keyboards.

Also, I'm almost positive this is just the aukey branded version of the reddragon kumara keyboard. I'm assuming they all come from the same factory.

Kumara for reference

The only difference I can see is the keys on the kumara keyboard appear to be more sunken in, if that makes any sense.

u/bizbiz23 · 13 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

Looks like it's $27 if you get it without a backlight. I just bought one:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXD7TP9

u/ARCFXX · 7 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

Magicforce 68 can be had for around $40. Redragon K551/K552 are decent larger options, for as low as $27 with no backlighting.

u/Xeratet · 7 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

A few decent options on Amazon right now:

AUKEY KM-G9 - $26.99

Redragon K552-N - $26.99

Redragon K552 Red LED - $29.99

TECWARE Phantom - $39.99

E-Element Z-77 RGB - $39.99

u/shadowstar2417 · 4 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

Magicforce 68 is one of the most solid "beginner" boards around, they're really good for the price.

The Drevo Gramr is $3 more. It looks smaller, but it has the same keys as a TKL just condensed a little bit.

Rantopad MXX is also a good choice.

or the Redragon K552 is $10 cheaper without the numpad, though I believe this keyboard uses Kailh switches (the old ones are very bad) so I'm not sure if I'd actually recommend it.

So, here's a quick list of boards, from amazon. I went with them for a search on mechanical boards, and filtered by 4 stars +, and read some of the critical reviews and sort through the ones that seemed to be overwhelmingly positive, with no "i did this for a kickback" though they no longer allow that, those reviews still skew it. Next, I went with brands that, well I had heard of. I just so happened to have seen or read reviews on boards from these companies, and while they often get the board for free in these situations, I still have seen them in action, or seen critical reviews of a product from them before. So, would venture to say these are probably some of the more... okay brands, of these "cheap" brands. Now, I included mostly TKL boards, since they happen to be cheaper, and I also included a "wireless" and quite a few backlit ones. I know you said that didn't matter, but they were within budget at met the review requirements, and your other reqs, albeit at typically higher prices. Also, I tried not to include the scam of "mechanical feeling."

So, from here, I'll list them. And you should understand you can buy boards from Newegg, fry's, microcenter, target etc.... and you can try to find your own with these tips. I simply used Amazon because it offers free shipping on most items over $25 even without prime. As well, they tend to be... somewhat responsible for their sellers.

Again, some things to keep in mind; add tax to most, if not all of these. I tried to keep them as far under $40 as I could, but the ones with decent reviews don't seem to go as low. As well, please feel free to do your own research. Or, if you want we can try on your preferred shopping site. Seek other users advice, maybe one of the mechanical keyboard subs will offer better advice. You absolutely do not have to buy any of these, nor do I get anything if you do. Also, please copy and paste the names of the boards for a youtube search, many of these low end boards send them out for review for coverage. Also, you could try doing a search yourself, just to check, "Mechanical keyboards" into amazon or whatever, and sort by reviews, and price, and avoid "MECHANICAL FEEL" at all costs, as it is not truely mechanical. I hope I've helped at least somewhat, and again, you absolutely don't have to settle on a link I provided, consider waiting for a sale, or observing this sub for a bit. Most of those boards likely hover around their price or will go lower.

Good luck, and I hope I've helped even a little. Let me know if I can help more.

Edit: Also, there's no need to rush into a buy at all, assuming you don't need one ASAP. Shop around, watch for deals on one you're interested, or just watch for new things to enter your price range.

Redragon has some cheap quality mechanical boards, they're not cherry switches but they're just as good as far as I'm aware.

No idea about deals on the mouse side, but the G203 is a well regarded mouse and that seems like a decent deal.

u/cooperred · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

this one? No mention of hotswappability

u/Sigma3737 · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

So I've used it a little now general use so far and I'm loving it! I swapped from a Razer Deathstalker Chroma (I know boo and hiss but it was a Christmas present from my grandma) so I'm not used to the action of it yet and I'm definitely going to need a wrist rest soon. It has some (what the page on amazon says) MX Cherry Green equivalent (read knockoff) but after taking some caps off and looking they're actually blue (if that means anything). I'll have to do a full write up on it after I've used it for a bit. But for a cheap mech its great. Here's a link as well Redragon K552-N Kamara

u/Supahvaporeon · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Maybe try this one.

I have the RGB version, and it is really nice for the price.

u/NLGGHZ · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

You can go ultra cheap for as low as 30$, with no backlighting Redragon Kumara with cherry blue equivalents, but for 6$ more you can get different backlight options. It has a metal backplate and surprisingly good quality. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXD7TP9/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdo_rGPHzbE316WEP

u/MrBogard · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

I've only used this one personally. The keycaps are pretty cheap, and it's certainly nothing to write home about, but I still think it's pretty solid for the price. There may be better options though, this is just the only one I have direct experience with.

Hiraliy F300 Gaming Mouse ($17)

+

Redragon K552-N Mechanical keyboard ($27)

$44 total. Cheaper than the Redragon $50 bundle and the mouse is better.

On your budget you don't need the lights on the normal K552, though you could grab that for a few dollars more if you really want them. The Redragon M711 Cobra is a good budget mouse option as well, same sensor. Though it may be a little more expensive, I didn't look. I like the Hiraliy a little better, the cord doesn't snag as much.

I really wouldn't go any cheaper on the keyboard or mouse, you could probably find a membrane keyboard or a slightly cheaper mouse and get the cost down to around $30 but it's really worth it to spend the extra money.

u/SomeTechNoob · 2 pointsr/buildapc

Looks pretty good. I would swap out the wifi card for this gigabyte one as it's better. Allows for a movable antenna and uses an Intel NIC for better performance.

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/tTdqqs/gigabyte-wireless-network-card-gcwb867di

As much as I love Nixeus, imo if you're going to go with a cheaper mechanical you might as well pick up some of the chinese ones. Redragon ones have been the popular budget pick, and will save you a good amount of money especially if you grab the non-backlit version(as the nixeus one is not backlit either)

https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-KUMARA-Backlit-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B01LXD7TP9/

Can't really speak for that mouse, but I'm generally not a fan of laser sensors. If you aren't gaming though, it'll probably do the job just fine.

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/Keyboard

I have this one with no backlights! No complaints and I've had it over a year now and use it daily. Here's the link to it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXD7TP9/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_rDGsDb3T3PKX8

Only one I can think up off the top of my head. Only comes in Outemu Browns though. That and it uses a dongle, no BT.

Don't pull trigger right away though, someone may have something better.

I dunno if there is any wireless TKLs less than 30 US, but the wired form of this board is 10 less, but it seems out of stock and I can't access the link to it (Also brown only). If you really wanted blues, Redragon K552 uses Outemu blues only, although I don't personally like the bumped up logo and it is wired:

You won't be able to pull that off with $50CAD. You can get a Redragon Kumara for $36, and a Rii M01 (with a PMW3360 sensor, which is amazing) for $31.

I'd go for the mouse over the keyboard first, and just save for the keyboard later on. Mouse>keyboard in terms of importance IMO.

u/2nah · 1 pointr/PUBGMobile

The dock being used sells for $31. Most people already have an extra mouse & keyboard laying around somewhere, but you could buy a mechanical keyboard for $27 and [a gaming mouse] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FZ3BR5S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dufQCbRZQTQCN) for $14, if necessary.

The cheapest computer I could find capable of running pubg was this refurbished desktop for $370, but you're really not going to have an enjoyable time playing a battle royale at 20-30 FPS. You're looking at around $750 for a solid entry level gaming pc worth buying, $1000+ for a fun experience.

$31 for the dock, $72 total if you need keyboard/mouse vs $750 for a decent rig.

But all of that is meaningless, because the people that use those docks do so because of the unfair advantage it gives them over everyone using the touchscreen input like the game is meant to be played, not because they can't afford a gaming pc.

The peripherals that already come with it are fine, and good enough for moderate gaming, but if you want to get something top-notch, and bang for buck...Here's what I suggest.

No, for $25 you could definitely get a better keyboard. r/MechanicalKeyboards would be more help but even this Redragon would be better

u/tuck3r53 · 1 pointr/GlobalOffensive

I second these. As far as budget starter gear goes, this is a great start. Might want to go with the basic black one to save a few extra dollars too.

u/TheNerdFactor · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

You are better off getting an extremely cheap mech and using a generic mouse for now. The mouse in the combo offers no customizability or software and you will eventually want to upgrade the keyboard to mechanical anyways. Might as well go endgame in one department than going subpar in both. When you do decide to upgrade your mouse in the future, I suggest the Steelseries Rival 300. It is an extremely high quality mouse that is totally endgame, for a very low price.

Amazon.ca
You can find a few choices for under $45 Canadian from what I've seen.

This is the cheapest non-full sized mechanical keyboard I saw on Amazon.ca (https://www.amazon.ca/Mechanical-Water-Resistant-Adjustable-Backlight-Anti-ghosting/dp/B075LGGFJD/) IDK anything about it other than it's ugly.

I'd recommend spending about $5 CDN more and getting this TKL from TOMOKO it has Gaote Blue switches which are Cherry MX Blue clones so they're clicky which is something to consider if noise is an issue.

At that price point there's also the Redragon K552-N which have some sort of green switch.

u/hagbean · 0 pointsr/buildapc

Honestly no idea why you're spending so much money on a keyboard this has imitation cherry MX blues $27.

That PSU looks dodgy, don't cheap out on your PSU.

you're overpaying for 2133Mhz RAM massively, you could get 3000Mhz for less money

Tweak it where you can, get a better GPU for 144hz, other than that solid build.

edit: if you're desperate for the RGB aesthetic for whatever reason, this is the same keeb but RGB for $6 more.

I think the g502 looks like complete fucking anus, love the fact there's a g302 and g303 available(not sure if they make the 302 anymore) that has the same internals and looks really fucking normal if I just turn off the RBG. So many awful looking 'gamer' products out there. Razer is the worst with this, followed by.. I'm sorry george, corsair. Their gamer products have started looking fucking awful.

There's some great things I've found that are still all feature rich or nice that don't look fucking awful. The g303 for instance is a GREAT fucking mouse(also better for my style of grip). Mousepad? I love my Roccat Taito. Keyboard? I have an old Topre keyboard from Belkin(no longer in production) and would move to https://www.amazon.com/Topre-Type-Heaven-104-key-Keyboard/dp/B00DGJALYW if it breaks. I already own this keyboard and it looks.. just fine and normal. It's a keyboard in the awesome keys I like.

I'd rather have https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-K552-N-KUMARA-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B01LXD7TP9/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1484111086&sr=1-1&keywords=reddragon+mechanical+keyboard before a blackwidow. A clone cherry keyboard less than 40 dollars. The aesthetics are.. just way better to me.
