The rails I used were a mix of z-rails and vector rails. I bought on deals with Reverb and Perfect Circuit. The rail ears I 3D printed. I was going to use aluminum but ended up designing them and having a redditor print them out. If you want the designs let me know.
I started by making a box out of 1/4" plywood. I measured my rails to create the inside measurements then added the width of the plywood. Make sure to correctly measure the plywood. 1/4" isnt really 1/4". From there, cut the sides. I cut my sides 10" tall by whatever length it is. I used nails and wood glue to hold them together, as well as using a square to make sure it was square. Then I cut the bottom and top and nailed/glued those in place.
At this point you have a box. I made it tall because I could always take away from the final height and was worried I didnt know what my final height needed to be. I used a table saw to pass the box through and cut the lid off. The lid is 2" tall. Now you have two parts. The bottom part was too tall so I passed it through the table saw again and cut some more off.
The hardware I purchased from Reliable Hardware. I looked up how to make a guitar amp and bought the same hardware. If you want exactly what I used let me know.
Reliable also sells tolex. I also bought speaker carpet liner to line the lid. I used this glue. The glue is a pain to work with but as long as you are quick and plan your moves before you do anything it will be fine. I would practice...spray here, move tolex in place, hold with left hand, use roller to apply. I also used an exacto knife to cut along the edges. After a while the nozzle clogs so I used a piece of cardboard to protect the areas I didnt want sprayed. It was like putting your thumb over the hose.

I got the tolex from www.fabricempire.com. It's actually not Tolex but a thicker vinyl material. Very cool, but hard to get corners perfect so I put the corner brackets on. Before this amp I always use sbrush on Tolex adhesive. The white stuff that looks like Elmer's glue. But I hate that stuff. This time I tried this stuff and LOVE it. More expensive but so much cleaner, neater and less hassle.
