I would probably go for this one if you aren't planning on doing any horseshoe making. The anvil you linked is geared more towards Farriers because of the horn shape and turning cams.

That's probably your best bet as far as a traditional anvil in the 500-700 dollar range as far as weight. Another option is getting a smaller Peddinghaus anvil, which is made from forged steel (most rebound and hard face).

I have the 75kg Peddinghaus and have nothing but praise for it. The rebound is in the 90% - 95% range and the face only has one divot in it from a miss. I don't care much about missing other than the fact that my hammer comes straight back at my face! That said, the one I linked is quite a bit lighter, and therefor maybe not the best choice overall.

For $651 you can buy a brand new 77 lb Ridgid anvil. It's a little smaller, but still very serviceable. Plus it's a high quality steel anvil with no dings, dents, or unseen flaws.
