The smoke edges one is great for black phones and prevents that ugly yellowing around the edges you normally get with clear cases.
I had a spigen and it lasted about 4 months before it started to become noticeable yellow. Any clear TPU case is subject to this problem. You won't find one that won't eventually yellow.
However... I bought a clear Ringke brand case that will never yellow and for a simple reason. The back of the case is polycarbonate which is not susceptible to the yellowing problem. The sides of the case are a smoked black tpu to help absorb impact. 6 months and very few scratches on the back. And they are not even noticeable against the white phone. No yellowing to be seen. I'm really loving the smoke black Ringke Fusion case I have. It has a clear, hard polycarbonate back and flexible TPU sides that absorb shock and provide flexibility.
I opted for the smoke black since clear TPU yellows over time. I'm hoping this color keeps it looking good for longer. The TPU sides allow for Active Edge with no issues. The case shows off the panda look amazingly.
I don't have a screen protector, but the case has plenty of clearance to the rounded edge of the glass, where the screen protector should end.

I had looked at the fabric case and it just felt way too bulky for me. I've tried so many cases over the past years and the ones I seem to come back to are the Ringke Fusion cases. They are super thin, have a sort of "sticky" feel to them so they don't slide around easily, and have a few color options (I prefer the smoky one). But best of all, they are super cheap! I have this: https://www.amazon.ca/Ringke-Minimalist-Transparent-Protection-Protective/dp/B075Q9FN4X/ in the smoke black colour. The back is clear while the edges are tinted black. I've had it for 2 months and it hasn't changed colour at all, which the black tint probably helps with.
I went with this smoked ringke case and while I'm waiting on my panda (being delivered today) I have no complaints about the quality of the case.
