Amazon appears to have it, but if you live outside of America, it may be worth just pirating it.

Alpha Centauri just as good as Civi II, better than Civi III and probably one of the best games ever made, its as hard as you want it to be with opponents as tough as you want them to be so custom games can go on for several dozen hours.

[Anno 1404 and the expansion pack Venice]()http://shop.ubi.com/store/ubiemea/en_IE/search/brand.dawn-of-discovery/vars.false) I guess the latest version Anno 2070 might be worth it idk I haven't played it, alls I know is 1404 will turn take up days, I once had a scenario save go on for 65 hours(not in one sitting) before I won. Oh and unfortunately 1404 isnt available on Steam so if you want it you have to buy it from the Ubisoft store :( or find a retail copy bit either way DRM is a nightmare. Oh and before I forget Venice adds multiplayer to the mix so you and 4 friends can share the experience of forgetting what sunlight feels like but don't worry theres plenty of single player stuff to get into.

Dungeon Keeper 2 ever wanted to design your own dungeon lair full of gold that pea brain "heroes" attempt to storm? If you allow it this one will have you spending hours designing the perfect dungeon.

Rise of Nations lets not beat around the bush here this is a Civi clone but its just so well done it stands on its own as a good game. Couldnt seem to find it on any digital marketplaces so I threw a link in for Amazon you can probably find a better option.

Kinetic Void if this kind of thing floats your boat/spaceship then you might find it

Space Pirates and Zombies as you may have guessed it features space pirates and zombies, its a mix of shoot em ups, and rpg, you'll have hours of content to get into before you even get to see the zombies.

Company of Heroes several hours of single player content and if you want you can skirmish with the AI to your hearts content until the wee hours of the morning, It also has some extremely mature mod community thats still getting love, Blitzkrieg adds so much to the game.

Warcraft3 and Frozen Throne's single player campaigns are just yummy, just the right length and full of story that will keep you playing.

I'll try to move away from RTS games, its hard because they have so much replay value to me :P

Dark Souls if you have a ps3 you probably know about this already, either way it aint small or easy, hours of dying from "cheap" attacks from shitty enemies isn't fun but winning because you played perfectly is fun.

(Street Fighter 4)(http://store.steampowered.com/app/21660/?snr=1_7_15__13) or its Arcade edition on steam will take positively hours to master depending on your fighting game prowess. You can always pick up a copy on the ps3 if you havent already as the D-pad on the ps3 is just miles better than most.

Rainbow6 Vegas 2, now I'd actually recommend the console versions over the pc version (own both) because cover based shooters are made with controllers in mind, the gameplay isn't too complex but like Dark Souls its extremely satisfying because it can be very unforgiving, features co-op on the same console (unrecommended) or Lan and Online so you and a friend can pick up Vegas2 on the cheap and plow right into the main game but if solo is how you want to play you'll get oodles out of it. Very rewarding game either way especially at higher difficulty settings.

Now I'll stop listing games because my chair just broke.
