Engineering Paper pads. Awesome paper that helps keep homework from looking like rubbish.
And a good quality pencil, not those cheap Bic that come in packets of 1000. A bunch of my friends are very big fans of Rotring or Uni-ball Kuru Toga. I myself use a 3.15mm Lamy Scribble, but that's just me.
Also, have some sort of MP3 player. Studying with people is great, but those people might not be around all the time when you need to study. Use it to stay focused on your work and drown out exterior sounds.
