My peacoat is navy because it's from the Navy. I wear an olive watch cap with it and get compliments.

If yours is black I'd do a gray watch cap

Just picked up a Rothco Genuine USN Watch Cap. 100% as opposed to acrylic like most streetwear beanies. Made to Department of Defense specifications for street cred.
