I'm thinking of getting the rothco one, even though it has a fucking stupid name.
I've been wearing this softshell for 2 years. Its not super heavy, but it's pretty weather proof. I don't know what your location is but if you don't normally expect a ton a bad weather then you might want to consider this jacket. I've had a good experience with this jacket. I will say that the hood is really large, so it folds up weird. I've heard other people have had issues with the zippers.

I have the rothco one as well. Look at my reply to wags for photos. It's not a bad jacket. Worth what you pay for it.
