Mop heads are inherently disposable. If you have a floor with a rough surface (like certain slip-resistant tiles), they'll chew up mops like, well, I don't know, because I'm bad with metaphors.
That said, you'll get the best overall lifespan and performance out of a professional-type string mop and mop bucket with wringer. The mop head you select is going to largely depend on your application and personal preferences. Most, if not all, can be washed, and replacement heads can be found at any big box hardware store.
