They wrote five pages of S? That explains it

Proprio adesso sto leggendo S., ideato da J. J. Abrams e scritto da Doug Dorst, che penso rientri pesantemente nel genere.

Il libro è stampato per assomigliare, sia all'esterno che all'interno, ad un volume degli anni '50, chiamato "La Nave di Teseo" dello scrittore fittizio V. M. Straka. Ci sono quindi due storie: quella scritta da Straka, che si legge come un romanzo normale, e quella di due ragazzi universitari che prendono in prestito il libro e lo commentano utilizzando i margini a lato.

In mezzo alle pagine poi ci sono fogli, schemi, cartoline, finte lettere, mappe, ecc.

Ti dirò, il libro è particolarissimo e anche la storia è molto interessante, però leggere più di 20 pagine di fila risulta davvero impegnativo per me, perché devi seguire le diverse storie parallele e ricordarti cosa è successo. Per complicare la questione, anche le note sono scritte in colori diversi che rappresentano momenti diversi in cui sono state scritte e a volte si basano su avvenimenti di cui ancora non si è parlato.

Lo consiglierei assolutamente a chi già ama leggere e vuole fare una lettura "diversa"! Soprattutto per chi ama i libri cartacei è orgasmico.

Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse

In my young teens I used to play Broken Sword 1 and 2. After this I haven't played the series.

Read "S". It's best if you don't read any reviews, descriptions or any information that regards the book before you open it up. It's all about the thrill of discovery. And I'am being intentionally vague here.

Das auf reddit immer so hochgelobte "House of Leaves" - anstrengend, sehr anstrengend zu lesen... wenn man erstmal drin ist, gehen auch mal ein paar Seiten in einem Rutsch, aber da werd ich definitiv noch länger dran zu tun haben.

Danach steht dann "S." auf dem Plan - selten so ein aufwendig gestaltetes Buch gesehen (an den Seitenrändern vollgeschrieben, unzählige Postkarten und Zeitungsausschnitte drin - und es riecht nach altem Buch(?!)). Mal gucken, ob es meine Erwartungen erfüllen kann.
