The "Women shouldn't have to protect themselves because people shouldn't assault women" argument is dangerous garbage to listen or respond to. Should and shouldn't is irrelevant. Assault, rape, and murder have been around for as long as living things have existed, and they always will be around. It's foolish for anybody, women OR men, to go around unprotected. Take your life into your own hands, get a tool, learn how to use it. If you can't carry a gun, carry a taser. If you can't carry a taser, carry pepper spray.
