I use this kit from Sally Hansen - no strips, you just apply the wax, give it a few seconds to set, and remove.
I've used the Nair strips, as well as the Sally Hansen strips for my upper lip. I would usually end up just plucking the hair out with tweezers because I couldn't get all of it with one of two of the strips :/
I started using Sally Hansen microwavable wax, because I wanted something cheap to try in case I didn't like it, or it didn't work. It's awesome. There aren't any strips, the wax just hardens and you peel it off with your fingers. It picks up a lot more hair than the strips ever did :)
