I do say so. Purchased that for my PS3 a few months ago.

Your better off going for a SSHD rather than a full blown SSD (the performance difference on the PS4 is negligable and not worth the extra cost). a 1TB drive - Seagate

Also if you dont mind a normal drive then a 2TB one will be released by the end of this month I think - Samsung drive

Not sure where you're located, but maybe look up that model with the stores you regularly use? I know a lot of people on the official PS3 EU forums use the same model. They recommended it to me in the first place. ;)

  7200RPM drives are a little faster than 5400RPM drives, resulting in slightly faster load times.
  
  As far as we know every disc game will get installed to the HDD, we don't know if it'll be full installs including cutscenes and stuff like that.

From what I researched online this is the biggest drive you can get that will fit fat or slim. They do have faster models though that cost more. Sounded like they would cause your PS3 to over heat if you went with the quicker drives.

If I'm remembering correctly from my hard drive hunt a little over a year ago, the maximum size of hard drive you can install on a PS3 is 1.5TB. For some reason the 2TB hard drives don't work. You need something that is 9.5mm or thinner as well. This is a good option for the 1TB (which is what I went with) and this is a good option for the 1.5TB. And seeing as how the 1.5TB is only $7 more expensive.....
