It's this card: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013CP5HCK which has glowing reviews with GoPros. I think it's on their list, but model number doesn't match up since it includes adapter.

Everything else works fine, including 4k which I've recorded ~15min continuous without issue. If it's the card wouldn't that be the more likely thing to fail vs interval pictures?

Haha it's all good, everyone has their moments!

But in all seriousness, this situation might not apply to you. It could be Android's fault, it might not be. The card might be dead, or it might not.

Either way, hopefully this helped clear a few things up. I can only imagine how frustrating losing an SD card randomly would be! At least you have a Samsung UHS-1 card, those are known to have incredible performance.

Just my 2 cents: if you're looking to get another card in the future, I'd totally recommend getting the SanDisk Extreme SD cards. They're a little bit pricey, but they'll frequently drop in price. You'll probably see a sale if you pay attention to r/android or any Android related news outlets.

Hopefully your Samsung SD card works out for you!
