I bought the SanDisk Extreme 500 and everything loads before you touch down. Sometimes you can see which rooftops will yield the best loot.
Plus, it helps with with other games that have ridiculous load times.

I have an OG Xbox One and no longer have any rendering issues. Just make sure once you set up the drive on your Xbox, you transfer PUBG (and the test server, if you play it!) to the SSD.
The 250GB model is $50 less, but I had to really mess around with it to get it to work on my Xbox (possibly because it’s under the stated storage capacity minimum (256GB) on the Xbox to use an SSD for storing games).

IMHO however, plugging in is usually the fastest/easiest method. If you have access to a Mac you can also use Image Capture if you really don't want to use iTunes.
