I, personally, would reschedule the cruise until after the baby is born, but you can make this work if you really want to risk it.
Not sure how bad the bugs will be in CO but I would want to have the option of using bug repellent on everything if needed. Picaridin seems to be replacing DEET as the new standard.

You'll be fine. it's not crazy. Because at what point does it stop? Refuse to get in the car because your likelihood of an accident is far higher than getting Zika.. There's a shitload of stuff more dangerous and more likely than Zika. Just take precautions. I recommend this repellant - it's deet-free and effective for up to 8 hours and recommended by the WHO. That said, every doctor has sworn up and down that DEET won't hurt anything, but it does bother my skin and this stuff doesn't.
