I think this is nonsense. You should avoid the things you are afraid of? So those with anxiety should permanently avoid public situations? Those who are afraid of leaving the house never should?

Bravery and courage are not acting without fear, they are acting while experiencing it.

EDIT: You should try reading this book which is part of a series dedicated to teaching kids a much healthier mindset than what you're proposing.
