Not OP, but I have a little schick trimmer with a replaceable razor on one side. It has a guard that is removable as well. I love it for the exact purpose of just keeping everything trimmed and clean. It is technically one of those "lady trimmers" but I've never had an issue with it.

An electric trimmer. That’s the one I use. Nothing fancy and you can get it at Target or a drugstore. If you take the guard off completely you can trim pretty close to the skin.

Edit: I can’t link the thing in text so here’s the raw link: Schick Hydro Silk TrimStyle Moisturizing Razor for Women with Bikini Trimmer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SMIIR0W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_eXw0BbP4C4YJ7

It won't grow back "even more". Shaving doesn't cause more hair to grow.

Pick up something like this and trim it down as much as you can and then use the razor to shape/shave however you want. Exfoliating before helps and remember light but steady strokes when shaving. The more you shave over a spot, the more likely it will get irritated. And moisturize afterwards!

You could try a personal trimmer like this . If you use it without the guard, you get a close cut and no ingrown hairs.

I stared epilating, not for everyone since it can be uncomfortable but I like the result and it’s cheaper than a wax. Also I’ve gone to salons and gotten waxed when I was at my heaviest and honestly they were nothing but professional. It is pricy (I’m from Canada too and there tend not to be the great deals around where I am) but I think it has the best long lasting results outside of laser.

Also, have you considered one of these trimmer things? I have one that I use whenever I feel like keeping it tidy but not bald. I like to go with the hair and cut following the curves down there (no visuals needed) and there’s little chance of harming yourself.

Oh and also! Mirrors are your best friend!

I was looking at that one!
Is this one the same?

Legs and underarms: Epilator. I have this one and I like it.

Bikini: Sugaring and/or trimmer like this

Every once in a while I will trim my upper lip if it's grown in really dark with something like this

SO and I shower together and both of us just use this for a little cleanup down there once in a while (the electric side with guard). waterproof, cheap, lasted a long time. I have annoying long butthole hair sometimes, so she helps me trim there once in a while. (hard to see myself)

I've been successful at shaving without bumps for a couple years now thank god. The first thing I do is use a specific bikini trimmer. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SMIIR0W/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1

After that I use a specific after shaving lotion and that's really, really helped. The first one I used for years was discontinued, so when I finished it, I started using Kerah Lane Organic Razor Bump & Ingrown Hair Formula and it's been great. I got it off Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LX3H3B6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

I think using both those things has really helped prevent ingrown hairs and irritation.

Have you tried this

I prefer wax at home for the area outside the bikini line. However, the ingrown hairs are still horrible.

Not shaving is the best answer. If I have to be at a textile beach, I don’t stare at anyone’s crotch, and I am sure no one stars at mine.
It’s neat to see how pubic hair goes through the same grow and shed functions as your head hair. If you need, you can get a beard trimmer for the lady garden.

This is the one I use. Sometimes I just use scissors.
