What you mean is Hard drive space
buy an external hard drive if you really think its such a big issue
PS4
Xbox one
Yes, they're fine, Xbox even has its own branded seagate drive and actually people say the games run and load faster off the external drive,
The other option may be to reflash your firmware? I ended up buying this one and have not had a problem since. Have the old to to my son.

I recently upgraded to the Seagate Game Drive Hub 8TB and really like it.
If that's too pricey, I also have the 4TB version and that one is great as well: Seagate Game Drive 4TB
I figure for ~$55 more you can double your storage with the 8TB hub, though. Plus it has some extra USB ports which are handy. The 4TB versions are smaller and more portable if that's important to you, but the Hub isn't that much bigger.
Edit: The white version of the 4TB Game Drive comes with two months of Xbox Game Pass.
There's a 4 tb external drive on Amazon for $130 for anyone interested.

I've got the following two drives:
For both of them all I needed to do was turn on the xbox. Once it's on I then plugged in the drive and it was recognised and I was asked if i wanted to use it for media or game storage. Choose game storage and it sorted everything out.
Seagate should be recognisable... does it need external power or is it usb powered? is it actually powering up properly?
Do HDDs limit your in game performance? Background- I have a 2TB Segate HDD that I put a lot of games on and when I try to play any of them off of this HDD without transferring them to a SSD first, there are very noticeable pauses, stutters, and frame rate drops. This doesn't happen when I play from one of my SSDs, even an external one.
The HDD in question is this one if anyone is curious, I originally bought it for my Xbox One but have started using it for my PC.
Got a new external SSD for Christmas and about mid Jan I stopped being lazy and switched everything to the SSD.
A little pricey, but worth it for the extra space and takes slack off my Xbox

I really like this guy:
Seagate Game Drive for Xbox One, Green, 4TB
It is XBOX Branded and a big chunk of space with a reliable brand. I love the way it looks with my set up having the XBOX logo. Check it out!
I got this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BV13S7S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_eU4TBbC0JVT8K from Walmart two years ago for $80. Looks like I caught it on sale but quality wise I’ve had absolutely zero problems with it and everything seems to load fairly quickly.
I would suggest getting a external hard drive, if space is a issue I would go with the game drive, I got the 8 tb game hub and it’s very nice

Seagate is what the licensed Xbox branded external hard drives are. I have a seagate 4TB external hard drive that works perfectly fine despite not being branded by Xbox. I watched some videos and read some articles on people making a case for solid state external drives dramatically lowering load times of standard HDDs. However, you definitely pay a premium price for anything SSD right now so I recommend just a regular old USB 3.0 powered seagate. Here’s an example of one very similar to mine:

And the Xbox branded version:

Hope this helps.
If you're talking about this baby, the RPM is 5400, but I have the same drive (different shell, I got the gamepass edition) and use it with my X, I have not noticed any difference in game performance between the internal and external
I looked at one on Amazon UK but noticed the transfer speed was very slow, 110 MB per second, compared to the other 4TB Seagate portable model, 5,120 MB per second, so I bought that. I bought the same Seagate model in the 2TB flavour for my 360, really good little drives. None to sure why it appears the Game Drive is so slow, check the comparison chart yourself for the transfer speeds, it is about halfway down the page.

This is the one I bought. They have cheaper, but again it’s not SSD I guess. So i apparently wasted my money, but I can store up to 100 games now
