I don't know of any subreddits specifically for it, but I know there's been a lot of questions answered on /r/retrogaming. And the YouTuber Ashens has reviewed multiple of these.
You can buy the newest model on Amazon here it supports most Roms and also supports saves, but the sound reproduction is OK at best, passable at worst.
The older models do not support saves, and they have worse controls.
